Some films you watch; in Ghibli films, you move in: Studio Ghibli merchandise brings Totoro, Calcifer, and the soot sprites off the screen and into your home. Plush with forest-spirit energy, figures for the windowsill, home decor with a calm hand – keepsakes from drawn worlds you're reluctant to ever leave.

Since its founding in 1985 by Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, and producer Toshio Suzuki, Studio Ghibli has stood for handmade animation art: drawn imagery, long takes, stories that take their time. International breakthrough came with "Spirited Away" – Golden Bear in 2002, Oscar in 2003 – and with "The Boy and the Heron," a second Best Animated Feature Oscar followed in 2024. At Elbenwald you'll find officially licensed Studio Ghibli merchandise: plush, figures, and home accessories from the film worlds of Totoro, Spirited Away, and Kiki. Many pieces are more understated than you'd expect from merchandise – very much in the spirit of the source material.
The eye for detail. Ghibli films are loved for things that would be an afterthought anywhere else: steaming meals, wind in meadows, soot sprites with star-shaped candy. Add to that heroines who've shaped animated cinema – from Chihiro to Kiki to San – and a storytelling principle that mostly does without simple villains: even the most unsettling figures here have reasons, history, and sometimes a good heart. Joe Hisaishi's music does the rest, and anyone who wants to get truly close to the studio can make a pilgrimage to Japan: the Ghibli Museum in the Tokyo suburb of Mitaka opened its doors in 2001. For collectors, all of that means designs with a calm presence – merchandise that creates atmosphere rather than noise.
Officially licensed merchandise across the film worlds: plush figures, collectible figures, home accessories, and more. Use the filters or the film pages to narrow the range down to your favorite film.
"Spirited Away" won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2003 – having already won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale before that. In 2024, "The Boy and the Heron" brought the award back to Japan.
By the Studio Ghibli license notice on the product or packaging. Elbenwald carries exclusively officially licensed merchandise – details on the respective manufacturer are listed on the product page.
Every film world has its own shelf: Totoro for forest-spirit fans, Spirited Away for bathhouse nostalgics, Howl's Moving Castle for Calcifer fans, Kiki's Delivery Service for flying delivery staff, Ponyo for a longing for the sea, Castle in the Sky for airship dreamers, and The Boy and the Heron for the most recent Oscar moment. On the product side, the plush figures lead the way, while home items gather under Home & Kitchen.
Anyone who wants to keep browsing after the credits will find other formats in the general figures overview, and the complete drawn family in the Anime world. And because Ghibli plush practically never misses as a gift, the gift ideas are worth a look too – a soot sprite fits into any package, after all.
