Hardly any brand accompanies people through life as reliably as this one: the first plush Mickey as a child, later the mug at the office, and at some point you watch the classics with your own kids. Disney merchandise works differently from other fan merchandise because of that – it carries less a sense of belonging to a fandom than a very personal memory. At Elbenwald you'll find officially licensed Disney products spanning the whole of film history: from Mickey Mouse to the great animated classics to the characters who populate both kids' rooms and display cases today.
Founded in 1923 by Walt and Roy O. Disney as an animation studio, the company owes its breakthrough to, of all things, a defeat: in 1928, Walt Disney lost the rights to his successful character Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to the distributor – and along with them most of his animators. On the train ride home, the idea for a character he'd own outright this time was born: Mickey Mouse, who debuted that same year in "Steamboat Willie," one of the first cartoons with fully synchronized sound. November 18 is still celebrated as Mickey's birthday today. Milestones followed at the pace of the decades: "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937) as film history's first feature-length animated movie, later classics like "The Lion King" (1994), "Frozen" (2013), and "Encanto" (2021). With the acquisitions of Pixar (2006), Marvel (2009), Lucasfilm (2012), and 20th Century Fox (2019), Disney grew into an umbrella over half of Hollywood – and "Lilo & Stitch" (2002) proved along the way that even a small blue alien can become merchandise royalty.
Officially licensed shirts, mugs, plush and collectible figures, accessories, and home details – featuring Mickey and Minnie, Stitch, the Frozen sisters, and many more characters. Use the filters to sort by character or product type.
Yes. Elbenwald carries exclusively officially licensed goods with a Disney license notice on the product or packaging – made by manufacturers such as Funko, LEGO, or Jakks, who produce officially for Disney.
Base it on their favorite film: anyone who goes weak for "The Lion King" will love Simba motifs, Stitch fans will love anything with the blue alien. When in doubt, classic Mickey motifs work – the mouse unites every generation.
For the closet there are Disney shirts from retro Mickey to movie motifs, for the breakfast table Disney mugs, and for the sofa plush figures with a built-in hug mission. Anyone collecting by character finds dedicated worlds for Lilo & Stitch, Frozen, The Lion King, Winnie the Pooh, The Little Mermaid, and Bambi – plus the assembled royalty at Disney Princess and the opposition at Disney Villains, because good stories need good villains.
Since the big acquisitions, more belongs to the family than you'd think: Marvel and Star Wars are officially Disney siblings, and Toy Story brought the Pixar relatives along. So if anyone ever asks you whether Iron Man counts as a Disney character: yes. Technically speaking.
