In short: The best Harry Potter gifts are things fans use every day while thinking of Hogwarts. Under 15 euros, kitchen helpers like the Salting Hat or the wand chopsticks work well, up to 50 euros a wand, the Hedwig figure or a bathrobe in house colours. If you really want to make an impression, give a Hogwarts robe or a limited Celebration Wand.
Finding a gift for Harry Potter fans is actually easy. It only gets tricky once they already have everything. Most Potterheads own at least one scarf, one mug and one opinion on whether Snape was a hero. That is why I have sorted these Harry Potter gifts by budget, with something in every range they will not already have three of on the shelf.
One tip up front: ask about their Hogwarts house. A Slytherin will be far happier with green and silver than with a Gryffindor lion. More on that further down.
Harry Potter gifts under 15 euros
Small gifts for the Advent calendar, the office Secret Santa or just because. Here most of the magic is in the details.
1. Salting Hat salt shaker. The Sorting Hat, only saltier. The Salting Hat Salt Shaker will not sort your food into houses, but it seasons it reliably. If you want pepper too, take the Cauldron Salt and Pepper Shakers.
2. Cauldron egg cups. Two black mini cauldrons on little feet turn every breakfast egg into a Potions lesson. The Cauldron Egg Cup Set can even go in the dishwasher afterwards, something Snape would never have allowed.

3. Wand chopsticks. Accio ramen! The Wand Chopsticks are 23 centimetres long and come in a box with a Hogwarts design.
4. Fat Lady door poster. Nobody gets in without the password. The Fat Lady Door Poster turns any bedroom door into the entrance to the Gryffindor common room.
5. Marauder's Map notebook. For everyone who solemnly swears they are up to no good. The Marauder's Map Notebook is one of our most popular little gifts.
6. Time-Turner keyring. Everyone could use more time, Hermione knew that back in third year. The Time-Turner Keyring is gold-coloured and fits on any key ring.
7. Ravenclaw diadem hair clip. Wit beyond measure is worn on the head. The Ravenclaw Diadem Hair Clip comes with a matching glittery hair tie and no Horcrux whatsoever.
8. Golden Snitch for the tree. The Golden Snitch Christmas Ornament is the perfect little present in December. Nobody has to catch it this time.

9. Hogwarts socks in a gift box. Socks are the classic Harry Potter gift, at least since Dobby. The Hogwarts Socks 3-Pack already comes in a gift box. Please do not give them to any house-elves you want to keep.
10. Chocolate Frog mug with spoon. Hot chocolate with no risk of escape. The Chocolate Frog Mug is a long-time bestseller among our mugs. Even more magic while stirring comes with the Hogwarts Mug with Stirring Function and Wand.
11. Niffler plush. The Niffler from Fantastic Beasts loves anything shiny. The Niffler Plush is 21 centimetres tall and definitely has nothing from your jewellery box in its belly. Probably.
12. Alohomora doormat. The spell that opens every door now lies right in front of it. The Alohomora Doormat makes a lovely housewarming gift.
13. Mirror of Erised photo frame. The mirror shows what you desire most. In the Mirror of Erised Photo Frame that is a 10 x 15 centimetre photo. Ideally one of the two of you.
14. Deathly Hallows T-shirt. The Smoky Hallows T-Shirt shows the symbol that explains everything in book 7. For fans of the first book there is the Philosopher's Stone T-Shirt.
15. Tea towels for the Hogwarts kitchen. Drying up like the house-elves in the school kitchens. The Tea Towel Set with Hogwarts and the Marauder's Map is a gift that will definitely get used.

16. A wand. The wand chooses the wizard, says Mr Ollivander. For a gift, you are allowed to help out just this once. The Harry Potter Wand comes in a box straight out of Ollivanders and with a certificate of authenticity. Also available are the wands of Professor Snape, Sirius Black and Lord Voldemort. In the Character Edition you will find, for example, the wands of Professor McGonagall and Luna Lovegood. All wands are in our Harry Potter wands.
17. Hedwig figure. The Hedwig Figure is hand-painted and stands in a removable display. It is part of the Magical Creatures collector series, which also includes Fawkes, among others. Warning: highly addictive.

18. Bathrobe in house colours. House pride is not just for the Great Hall. The Slytherin Bathrobe has a big crest on the back, a hood and two pockets for a wand or snacks. For the other side of the Quidditch pitch there is the Gryffindor Bathrobe.
19. A hoodie for your own house. The Ravenclaw Block Hoodie and the Gryffindor Block Hoodie show straight away which table in the Great Hall you belong to.
20. Hogwarts Express backpack. Departing from Platform 9¾. The Hogwarts Express Backpack is brown, with a large main compartment, two side pockets and a luggage tag with a name card. Flying car not included.

21. Hogwarts Castle knitted jumper. Every year Mrs Weasley knits a jumper with an initial on it. If you are not part of the family, take the Hogwarts Castle Knitted Jumper.
The big Harry Potter gift
22. Alohomora Celebration Wand 2026. The Alohomora Celebration Wand is part of the limited Celebration Wand Series. The brown and gold wand is 36.8 centimetres long and comes with a display stand and a pin featuring the spell. For everyone who already owns every wand from the films.

23. Hogwarts robe. The Gryffindor Robe is exclusive to Elbenwald, with a pointed hood, wide sleeves and a wand pocket inside. For Slytherins there is the Slytherin Robe. How to turn it into a costume is in my article on the last-minute Halloween costume.
24. Wizard chess set. Wizard's chess like in the first book, just without smashed pieces. The Wizard Chess Set is a gift for long winter evenings.
25. Hogwarts Trunk Advent Calendar. If you would rather spread the gift over 24 days, take the Hogwarts Trunk Advent Calendar or the Hogwarts Socks Advent Calendar. More ideas are in my article on Advent calendars for adults.
And if you want to enchant a whole room right away: how that works is in my article Your Harry Potter Room: As Cosy as the Gryffindor Common Room.
Finding the right Hogwarts house
With Harry Potter gifts, the house often decides between delight and a polite smile. Gryffindor wears red and gold, Slytherin green and silver, Ravenclaw blue and bronze in the books and blue and silver in the films, Hufflepuff yellow and black.
If you do not know the house, there are two ways. Either you ask, very casually, what colour their scarf is. Or you choose a gift for all of Hogwarts, such as the wand, the Hedwig figure or the backpack. That way you are right with all four houses. All ideas at a glance are in our Harry Potter world.
Frequently asked questions about Harry Potter gifts
What do you give a Harry Potter fan?
Ideally something that matches their Hogwarts house or gets used every day, such as a mug, socks, a bathrobe or kitchen helpers. For collectors, wands, figures and limited editions are a great fit.
What Harry Potter gifts are there under 15 euros?
Good choices are the Salting Hat salt shaker, the cauldron egg cups, the wand chopsticks, the Marauder's Map notebook and the Time-Turner keyring. They are also perfect for Secret Santa.
Which wand makes the best gift?
The most popular are the wands of the main characters, so Harry, Snape, Sirius and Voldemort. If you know their favourite character, go for that character's wand. For collectors there is a new limited Celebration Wand every year.
How can I tell which Hogwarts house someone is in?
The quickest way is a scarf, mug or phone case in house colours. Many fans have also found their house through the official Wizarding World Sorting quiz and are happy to tell you about it if you ask.
And now: wrap the present
Check the house colours, pick a gift, order an owl. If the owl is running late, we deliver too.
